Your data
What information this site collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
This privacy policy explains how Tower of London Tours ("we", "us") handles information when you use this website. We keep things deliberately simple: we don't run user accounts, we don't ask you to register, and we don't sell your personal data to anyone.
We collect very little directly. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools automatically record standard technical information when you visit — such as your approximate location, browser type, device, the pages you view and the site you came from. This is aggregated and used to understand what's useful and to improve the site. This site does not collect your name, address or payment details, because you don't buy anything from us directly.
We use cookies and similar technologies for two main purposes: to measure how the site is used through analytics services such as Google Analytics, and to support the affiliate links that fund the site. When you click through to a tour, an affiliate cookie may be set by our booking partner, Viator, so that any resulting booking is credited to this site. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and doing so won't stop you using the site.
When you click a booking link, you leave our site and continue on the tour operator's platform, Viator, which has its own privacy policy governing the information you provide to complete a booking. We also embed some third-party content, such as maps, which may set their own cookies. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with. We are not responsible for the practices of these external sites.
The limited information we collect is used only to operate and improve this website, understand which content helps visitors, and maintain the affiliate arrangement that keeps the site free. We do not use it to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not sell or rent it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws such as the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR — including the right to access, correct or delete data, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold very little that identifies you personally, these rights mainly concern the analytics data described above. If you have a request or a question, please get in touch via our contact page.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or the law. Any changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date at the top of the page.
