Tower of London Ticket Prices for 2026

A standard adult ticket to the Tower of London is £37 in 2026 — but that single price covers a surprising amount, and there are a few ways to pay less or get more. Here's the full breakdown.

If you're weighing up Tower of London tours and tickets, the first question is usually the simplest: what does it actually cost? The good news is that one ticket covers the whole site, including the Crown Jewels, so there are very few hidden extras. Here's exactly what you'll pay in 2026 and where a little planning saves money.

Standard ticket prices in 2026

These are the official Historic Royal Palaces admission prices. There is no longer a family ticket, so each child pays the child rate.

Adult£37.00
Child (5–15)£18.50
Child under 5Free
Concession (student, 60+, disabled)£29.50 (carer free)

What the price includes

Crucially, admission is all-inclusive once you're inside. Your ticket covers the Crown Jewels, the White Tower and Royal Armouries, the Medieval Palace, the Wall Walks, Tower Green and the free Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) tour that runs every 30 minutes. You never pay separately for the Crown Jewels, which surprises a lot of first-time visitors.

💡 Did You Know? The optional 10% donation added at checkout goes to Historic Royal Palaces, the self-funding charity that cares for the Tower. It's genuinely optional — you can decline it and pay the standard price — and UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid so the charity claims more at no cost to you.

Guided and early-access tour prices

Guided tours cost more than a standard ticket because you're paying for something extra — a guide, a smaller group, skip-the-line entry or a private Beefeater. As a rough guide:

Standard day ticketfrom about $50
Early-access tour (beat the queue)from about $99
VIP Beefeater meet & greetfrom about $136
Private and small-group tours$200–$360

For most visitors the standard day ticket is the best value, since it already includes the free Beefeater tour. Pay more only for a specific benefit like early access or a private guide.

✅ Useful TipBook online rather than at the gate. The price is the same, but you skip the ticket-office queue — and in peak season, timed tickets can sell out on the day, so booking a few days ahead avoids a wasted trip.

How to save

Three things help. Book online to lock in your date and skip a queue. If you'll visit more than once, or you're touring several royal palaces, Historic Royal Palaces membership starts from around £65 and pays for itself in about two visits. And if you just want to see the Crown Jewels and explore at your own pace, resist the upsell — the standard ticket does that job.
